If you have read my Headlights post you know I have been waiting to fit these lovely headlight units for some time.
I had done the ground work for this upgrade, but in essence it would be exactly the same process regardless of the LED headlight unit you select.
The headlight is secured with two screws on the headlight rim (low down on either side). Older versions had a single screw on the top of the rim. I could have taken the nose cone off, but I decided to use my hex bit Philips screw driver and ratchet ring spanner because of the lack of access.
Once the screws are removed, pull the bottom of the rim to release the headlight from the bowl.
My side light wires were already adapted for this LED upgrade, so all I had to do was remove the heat shrink, and disconnect the wires. You can see how I did this in my Headlights post. Applying new heat shrink and reconnecting the wires before refitting refitting the headlight to the bowl. Fit the top of the rim first.
